Field Trip: Men of Color National Summit

The Men of Color National Summit at Clemson University aims to ensure that African American and Hispanic boys and young men are given equal opportunities from birth to employment. This summit unites over 2,400 attendees including high school and college students, business professionals, educators, government officials, and community leaders from across the nation. Participants discuss the significance of education and share effective strategies to help more boys of color complete their high school and college studies. This large gathering promotes awareness of how America is evolving, and how we can support boys of color in achieving success by actively participating in the global community.

Standardized Testing

As we approach the day of standardized testing, it's important to recognize its significance. This is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills, and we have complete faith in their abilities. It's important to keep in mind that this test is just one part of the puzzle and is not a measure of one's intelligence or worth. With confidence in their diligent preparation and their ability to achieve great things, students should approach the testing day with a positive mindset. It's important to stay focused and read each question carefully, taking breaks when necessary and remembering to breathe deeply. We're here to provide support every step of the way, and students should believe in themselves and do their best. It's important to remember that a single test does not define one's true potential. So, BEST Skills Academy students, good luck - you've got this!
